At Lovell Safety Management, we recognize that workplace injuries can have a profound impact on your company’s fiscal health and on your employees’ physical health. To minimize the potentially devastating effect on both employer and employee, Lovell’s Occupational Safety and Health Department offers a comprehensive range of safety services.

Upon enrollment in a Lovell-managed Safety Group, a new member’s facility receives an on-site evaluation by one of our seven knowledgeable safety professionals. Potential risks, physical hazards and existing exposures to employee safety are identified. Previous incident and accident reports are reviewed and categorized. By studying past records, our staff can identify patterns and trends in a company’s loss history.

The Lovell Safety staff consists of highly experienced professionals, several of whom specialize in, and have therefore accumulated extensive experience in the risks and hazards presented by, specific industries. Armed with the data acquired through physical hazard surveys, occupational health consultation visits and comprehensive loss cause analysis, these experts help company management devise and implement effective Safety and Health Programs aimed at reducing Workers’ Compensation costs.

As an enhanced service to our Group members, our Safety staff has developed numerous informative manuals to assist employers in devising effective safety and health programs and in complying with OSHA/PESH regulations. The following is a list of manuals currently available. All Lovell Safety Group members have convenient access to the complete manuals through the For Our Clients Only password-protected section of this site.

Our safety professionals visit clients throughout the year. During these visits, we not only provide safety consultation but also train a designated representative of the company in identifying safety and health hazards, in order to ensure constant scrutiny. A written report, detailing observations and recommendations, is prepared and presented to each Group member.

Lovell’s safety consultants are authorities on OSHA/PESH standards and regulations. Group members automatically receive copies of Safety Alert, a periodic newsletter packed with industry-specific safety tips, and OSHA and PESH policy and standards changes. We also offer guidance on understanding and avoiding citations, on obtaining informal hearings and on complying with OSHA abatement policies.

Lovell Safety Management has been designing and implementing effective safety programs and practices for thousands of companies for 70 years. Our familiarity with each Group member’s loss history and with the specific safety needs of the 13 industries we service enables us to develop successful strategies for reducing claims. And that translates into cost savings!
