Since joining the company in 1996, Ms. Geier
Fahmy has served as Vice President/Director of Safety & Health
Services, and has effectively provided leadership and quality
control to a staff of eight safety professionals and over
2,000 satisfied clients. Up until recently, she held the position
of president of Corporate Safety and Health Consultants, Inc.,
a company providing comprehensive safety services to a diverse
range of corporate clients, which she co-founded in 1981.
Prior to establishing Corporate Safety and Health
Consultants, Ms. Geier Fahmy worked for Consolidated Edison
Company of New York, as supervisor of its Hearing Conservation
Program. From 1976 to 1982, she was responsible for the development
and implementation of a total hearing conservation program
for its 20,000 employees. She continued in this position for
a year after co-founding Corporate Safety and Health Consultants
and was then promoted by Con Ed to Divisional Safety Manager.
In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts in
Speech and Hearing and a Master of Science in Audiology from
Brooklyn College CUNY, Ms. Geier Fahmy also earned a Master
of Arts in Occupational Safety and Health from New York University,
Center for Safety, and numerous other certifications as a
safety professional. She is currently an Adjunct Professor
at Hunter Colleges Graduate School of Environmental
Health and has taught at NYUs School of Continuing Education
and at CUNY Staten Island Colleges Department of Safety.
