At Lovell, we are dedicated to furnishing the most thorough

successful safety programs aimed at eliminating or drastically
reducing work-related injuries and illnesses. To this end,
we offer a broad range of Training Programs, led by our experienced
and knowledgeable instructors. For details on program costs,

Below is a list, arranged alphabetically
by title, of training programs we provide, along with a brief
description of each.
Bloodborne Pathogens, Occupational
Exposure to 29 CFR 1910.1030
Provides employees with training
in protective measures to combat exposure to bloodborne pathogens,
including modes of transmission, appropriate work practices,
emergency procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE),
and Hepatitis B vaccinations.
Confined Space Entry 29 CFR 1910.146/Specific
State PEOSH
Educates employees whose work requires
them to enter confined spaces (manholes, meter vaults, wet
wells, tanks, etc.) about the potential dangers and hazards
of inherent conditions, such as trapped gases and poor ventilation.
Involves hands-on training whenever possible. OSHA Certificate
of Completion issued to attendees. Prerequisites: Hazard Communication,
Lockout/Tagout and Electrical Safety Training. Suggested complementary
course: Respiratory Training.
Construction Safety & Health
Training 29 CFR 1926
Training for staff member(s) responsible
for construction site work safety on specific safety and health
hazards at a typical construction site. Taught by Lovells
OSHA-Certified Instructor.
Control of Hazardous
Energy Sources (Lockout/Tagout) 29 CFR 1910.147
Covers methods and procedures to protect
employees from injuries resulting from unexpected energizing,
start-up or release of stored energy. Specifically tailored
for workers engaged in operating, servicing or maintaining
hydraulic, pneumatic or electric equipment and machinery.
Electrical Safety
(#013) 29 CFR 1910.332
Essential for employees performing
any electrical work, from low voltage (110v household current)
to high voltage and above. Meets OSHA requirements for safety-related
work practices. Suggested complementary course: Lockout/Tagout.
Excavation Safety
(#014) 29 CFR 1926.650-652
Instruction in the recognition and
avoidance of unsafe conditions, and in the regulations for
control and elimination of hazards and other exposures. Regulations
require all excavations (trenches) to be inspected by a competent
person prior to employee entry or following any changes in
conditions.
General Industry Safety & Health Training
(#033) 29 CFR 1910
Training for member(s) of the workforce
responsible for work site safety on specific safety and health
hazards found at a typical work site. Taught by Lovells
OSHA-Certified Instructor. OSHA Certificate of Completion
issued to attendees.
Hazard Communication and Right-To-Know
Law (#015) 29 CFR 1910.1200; 29 CFR 1926.59; 29 CFR 1910.1000,
Specific State RTKL
Provides basic understanding of
state and federal regulations, municipal, general industry
and construction requirements. Includes discussion of methods
used to identify and prevent safety and health hazards, overview
of laws, basics of safe chemical handling, review of the Material
Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), typical workplace exposures, methods
of protection and response to small spills or release of hazardous
substances.
Materials Handling Fork Lift &
Pallet Jack Operations (#022) 29 CFR 1910.178 (Powered Industrial
Trucks)
Training in the safe operation of
all powered industrial trucks. Includes requirements of the
standard, operation of equipment, fuel handling and storage,
lighting for operating areas, control of noxious gases and
fumes, truck operations and handling, service and maintenance,
along with additional topics.
Occupational Noise Exposure (#025) 29
CFR 1910.95
Provides employees, who are regularly
exposed to noise levels at or above an 8-hour, time-weighted
average of 85 decibels and required to participate in an effective
hearing conservation program, with background information
on the danger of noise, recognition of high noise areas, need
for hearing protection, care and use of protective equipment
and testing procedures for audiometric examination.
Personal Protective Equipment (#030) 29
CFR 1910.132
Training for personnel in recognition
of hazards that require the use of personal protective equipment
(PPE). Emphasis on methods for selecting the appropriate PPE,
its limitations, maintenance, care and use.
Respiratory Training (#011) 29 CFR 1910.134
Provides working knowledge of various forms
of respiratory equipment, including air purifying and air
supply systems (cartridge masks, self-contained breathing
apparatus, air-line respirators, etc.). Involves hands-on
training.
Supervisory Safety & Health (#031)
29 CFR 1910; 29 CFR 1926
Educates company management and key supervisory
personnel on their responsibilities in quality job training,
development of good safety attitudes, institution and operation
of safety committees, and detection and correction of hazardous
conditions and unsafe work practices. Designed for supervisors
to ensure full efforts toward compliance with current regulations.
Welding, Cutting and Burning Safety (#026)
29 CFR 1910.101; 1910.133; 1910.252, 29 CFR 1926.350-354
Provides detailed training on extreme hazards
in gas and electric arc welding, cutting and/or burning. Includes
a review of safe use and care of gas cylinders, arc welding,
personal protective equipment (PPE), health hazards, fire
safety, ventilation and more.
Work on Elevated Structures
(#028) 29 CFR 1910 and/or 29 CFR 1926
Training on safety procedures for
working on elevated structures, including fall protection
(safety belts, lifelines, harnesses, etc.), elevated platform
lifts, and scaffolds and ladders.
Lovells staff of Safety and Health
Consultants can modify any of the existing Training Programs,
or design additional ones to fulfill specific requirements.
